Clean forms and wonder are the inspirations that translated the exhibition's content into a project.
The exhibition is constructed as a centripetal path around the central cloister, recalling the structure of the monastery, the home of the story's protagonist.
The "walls" are constructed of backlit polycarbonate panels. The entire volume emanates light as a representation of something precious, echoing the title, A Treasure in Clay Vases. The walls are segmented and imperfect on the outside but regular and orderly on the inside, a metaphor for Ermanno's life and his physical disability, as imperfect in outward appearance as it is internally perfect, a reminder of the beauty of the soul and of man as the image and likeness of God. At the center of the cloister is an olive tree, a symbol of life as it is, not as its capacity for anything, visible from every point along the route, first from two windows, then from an opening that provides access to the cloister.

The drawings and graphics, printed directly on polycarbonate, are all black and white, but feature "golden dots" to identify the aspects of Ermanno's life that most strongly drew us to God, as if they were a treasure.
The exhibition's content is a journey to discover the positivity passed down through the testimony of the monk Ermanno. A life dedicated entirely to "looking up," whether studying the stars, investigating providence in history, composing hymns to praise God, or invoking help in suffering. It was this fullness of life that generated popular devotion, which quickly spread throughout the German region.
His story echoes experiences alive today, which are recounted in the videos displayed inside the cloister: faces and places that share Ermanno's struggles and document that every life, even the most fragile, lived in this way is a miracle in progress.
