The primary objective is to create a distinctive, innovative, and flexible building capable of housing a 150-200-seat conference room and a series of ancillary spaces (foyer, cafe, offices) functional to the Port Authority's activities and open to the public.

The project aims to generate a strongly identifiable architecture, inspired by Ravenna's material and symbolic culture. References to Byzantine mosaics, industrial textures, and aquatic reflections become inspiration for an architectural composition that emphasizes lightness and transparency.
The main volume is configured as a long parallelepiped with a slightly trapezoidal section, suspended on a stepped platform that serves as a podium, urban space, and artificial landscape. The building is oriented toward the canal, with a slight twist that opens it to the city, accentuating its function as a visual landmark.
